Dr. Danielle Walker, CHES
Dr. Danielle Walker is an Associate Professor of Public Health and Director of Lifetime Wellness at Biola University. She helped design the global health curriculum and teaches courses such as Applied Epidemiology, Health Behavior Theory, and Health Education (graduate and undergraduate). Recently, she and her husband released a book, Lessons in Global Health Leadership, for a new graduate course at Biola. Dr. Walker holds a Ph.D. in Health Science and other degrees in Public Health, Biological Sciences, and Organizational Leadership. Her areas of research and expertise are in HIV/AIDS, global health, and access to care. Her doctoral research won the Outstanding Dissertation Award from the University of Texas El Paso College of Health Sciences. She is a Certified Health Education Specialist and leads a global health organization to improve community health outcomes. She finds joy in helping others learn about public health so people can be empowered to make informed decisions that improve the health of families and communities.
